Kavita Patel of Ollie Quinn
Visit Ollie Quinn on Market Place and suddenly shopping for frames is easy – every frame is the same price. A great concept and a great addition to St Albans.
We dropped by to speak to Regional Manager Kavita to find out more about this new boutique optician (pictured with Store Manager Tahmina).
Why St Albans?
It’s such a lovely place, great shopping, lots of history and it has a strong community spirit which is important to us. There is nothing like us here, so it’s the perfect location.
When did the store open?
14th May 2022
What do you sell?
No matter what frame you choose they are the same price, and they are in-house designed, hand crafted and our own brand. We have a great choices of styles and colours. Prices vary depending on the lens. We also offer eye tests, contact lenses and contact lens appointments.
What is fashionable now?
As it’s approaching summer our customers are choosing brighter colours as well as translucent frames. The rounder styles are also popular now – they are a classic.
What did you do before joining Ollie Quinn?
I’ve been in optics almost 10 years and am a qualified dispensing optician.
Tell us more about Ollie Quinn?
We have several London stores as well as a few around the UK but this is the type of place we want to be. We want to bring something different to smaller towns and cities.
What future plans do you have?
We are passionate about connecting with the local community and supporting local businesses. We love holding social events such as art exhibitions showing local artists work, music nights and workshops. We like to help others, it’s what we have always done. Follow us on Instagram for news on upcoming events.
Who is Ollie Quinn?
There is no such person, I get asked that a lot.
