Overview
Located in the historic city of St Albans, The Beech House on St Peter’s Street opened its doors in September 2014. A convenient 10-minute walk away from St Albans City train station, this former 1930s art deco building has become well known for its artisan coffee and charcoal-grilled cooking.
Behind the glass façade you’ll find an extensive bar area with a range of comfortable seating options and superfast WiFi connectivity, whilst diners are invited to witness our chefs prepare our Mediterranean-inspired menu in an open kitchen, complete with Josper grill and wood-fired oven.
Open daily from 8am, we serve food made with quality ingredients, traceable from farm to fork. Whether you’re tempted to try a wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, freshly prepared by one of our trained pizzaiolos, or one of our Josper-grilled British meats, you’ll find dishes to suit your taste and dietary requirements. Families are also well catered to with our bespoke children’s menu and accompanying activity pack.
Completing our offering, our extensive and varied drinks menu includes coffee brewed with Rainforest Alliance certified ThreeSixty Rainforest Blend from estates in Colombia and Brazil, and a selection of teas from Teapigs. To create our hot chocolate, we melt Callebaut chocolate shavings and add them to piping hot milk. Our craft beers and gins are as carefully chosen as our wine, and we proudly sponsor St Albans Rugby Club.
