A permanent playing collection of rare mechanical musical instruments, dance organs, player pianos and theatre pipe organs. Live performances are given, together with a commentary.

Special reductions for large groups wanting to attend the Sunday openings, but only by prior arrangement.
Open every 2nd Sunday of the month March to November from 14:00 – 16:30.

St Albans Musical Museum Society (SAMMS), otherwise known as St Albans Organ Theatre, has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS). The award is the highest accolade that can be bestowed on a charitable organisation and recognises the extensive amount of voluntary work at St Albans Organ Theatre, which provides an exceptional service to the local community.
St Albans Organ Theatre has been entertaining visitors for 40 years offering concerts on theatre organs and musical tours of the mechanical collection as well as bringing together many different groups of people from the local community to enjoy the theatre.
