St Albans Cathedral
Whether you are looking to visit as a school, a large group or for an evening pilgrimage, the Cathedral welcomes groups.
Please note that it is important that all visits are booked in advance even if you don’t want the Cathedral to organise tours or activities. There are times when the Cathedral is closed or when access is restricted.
Cathedral Tours
Cathedral Guides are ready and waiting to welcome your group to St Albans Cathedral and share its wonderful stories with you. Tours are often the highlight of many groups’ visit and they can tailor your tour around your interests.
Tours are offered in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian – please mention language and any other requirements at the first stage of booking.
All group visits to St Albans Cathedral should be booked in advance.
General Tours: £10 per person
Specialist Tours: £12 per person
Tower Tours: £15 per person
Only Cathedral guides are permitted to give guided tours inside the Cathedral.
Please note there isn’t any coach parking at the Cathedral. Coaches usually drop off at the bus stop by the entrance to the Cathedral grounds, near the top of Holywell Hill.
Coach parking is permitted at Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre, at the bottom of Holywell Hill at a charge. It is a twenty minute walk through the park to the Cathedral, or up Holywell Hill. View locations here.
Verulamium Museum
Groups of over 15 people are charged at £5.00 per person
